10 of Aquaman’s thirstiest moments on the big screen

3. Arthur in chains

I almost feel guilty saying this, but seeing Arthur in chains in front of King Orm was definitely a thirsty moment. However, hear me out. Not only is he shirtless, which means we can see his muscles and the tattoos on his skin, but as he struggles with the chains, we can see every flex and all of the power in his body.

And when he is able to drag the guards forward in order to get into King Orm’s face, we were hooked. Did we like seeing Arthur in chains on his knees before his own brother? No, of course not. But at the same time, this was a chance to once again see just how strong Aquaman really is. In fact, we could almost believe that had those chains been made of regular metal and not Atlantean metals, Arthur would have been able to break his bonds and attacked Orm. (And yes, the shirtless thing certainly helped.)

4. Vulko training teenage Arthur

In Arthur’s flashback to his training with Vulko on the beach, we admit to needing a sip of water. Whether it was because of CGI or really good makeup, a young-looking Willem Dafoe, made us take notice. And it certainly helped that teenage Arthur was a handsome young man already showing the promise of what his adult self would be like.

Vulko might not have been the thirsty moment we expected, but it was definitely one that stuck with us even as the movie moved on to other eye-catching scenes. Perhaps it was because this was a chance to watch Arthur be taught by a master, but we were definitely digging this scene.
