If you are going to make history, you may as well do it in style. And according to Vanity Fair, that is exactly what Meghan Markle did in April when she attended a reception at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre for a meeting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government.

As the first royal fiancée to attend this event, the then-future Duchess of Sussex showed up in style wearing a pin-striped Altuzarra dress with a belted waist and large buttons down the front. She paired the dress with a Camilla and Marc blazer that she had draped over her shoulders for a good portion of the day, although she did remove it at one point.

She paired the blazer and dress with one of her favorite crossbody bags, and according to Tamara Mellon on Twitter, the shoes she was wearing were the Paramour pumps. And honestly, we are big fans of these heels, as we love the two delicate straps that give this shoe an added layer of femininity and grace.

Overall, this look is one that is tailored and posh, perfect for work or a more-formal engagement. And we love the way Meghan Markle paired the dress and heels with the work blazer for a slightly business-centric look.
