4. Mrs. Claus
This one should come as no real surprise (except maybe where she ranks), but Mrs. Claus has to be on our cheerful characters list. Not only is she Santa Claus’ wife (obviously), but every time we see her she is a truly cheerful person.
Whether she is offering counsel to Mr. Claus or baking cookies (we’ve seen this a few times), Mrs. Claus is nearly always as jolly as her husband. She may not be seen often on-screen, but when she is, she is just as cheery as her husband. Mrs. Claus really is the woman behind the magic.
And when needed, she is there to save the day as needed. In fact, in The Santa Clause: The Escape Clause, she was right there at her husband’s side to help him keep control of the North Pole. In Arthur Christmas, we got to see her joyful nature, even if she and Mr. Claus did seem to be missing the point of the holidays (thank goodness for their son).
Basically, even when she is not at the center of the action, we know she is there for her man and helping to keep him just as cheerful as this holiday demands of him.
