Letitia Wright teases fans about Shuri’s fate in Avengers: Endgame
Fans are really worried about Shuri’s fate in Avengers: Endgame, and Letitia Wright is messing with them a little on Twitter.
Following the release of the first Avengers: Endgame trailer, fans understandably have a lot of questions about their favorite characters. While the truth is we’ll just have to wait until the movie comes out to know for sure what happened to our beloved heroes, we honestly can’t wait that long. Can we just get a few hints, pretty pretty please?
Of all the MCU characters we’re concerned about right now, Shuri is near the top of our list (alongside our precious Tom Holland). After Black Panther, Letitia Wright’s portrayal of Shuri quickly became a fan favorite. We only saw her for a brief amount of time in Infinity War, but she was perfect, and fans are more than ready to see her take on a bigger role in Endgame. When Angela Bassett said that her character Queen Ramonda and Shuri both survived the Thanos snap, we rested easy, knowing our Wakanda tech princess was likely prepping all the epic gadgets to take down Thanos and hopefully bring her big brother back.
But, now fans aren’t so sure…
In the Endgame trailer, there is a brief moment where Bruce Banner is seen looking at images of people who are missing. He sees pictures of Scott Lang, Peter Parker, and *gasp* Shuri. This immediately freaked fans, and us, out — prompting everyone to ring all the Wakanda alarms and dive into theories of whether she’s alive, dead or if this is another one of Marvel’s fake-out trailer scenes.
Letitia Wright isn’t helping to soothe fans fears, either. After a tweet by Complex shared they were tired of games and wanted to know if Shuri was alive, Letitia Wright quote tweeted a response that was just two laughing face emojis.
Come on, Letitia! Don’t do us dirty like that. Of course, she probably can’t actually reveal Shuri’s fate, but fans are freaking out a little about her response.
It would seem like such a waste to introduce the smartest character in the MCU and then barely use her at all. Listen to me, Marvel. It would be a mistake.
Shuri can definitely help the Avengers reverse the impacts of the snap and save the world. We need to see Shuri alive and well, donning a Black Panther-like suit of her own, and kicking Thanos butt.
While Letitia Wright is definitely having fun teasing fans, it’s likely we won’t know Shuri’s real fate for a few more months. Safe to say, we’re going to be stressed until then…
