RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars is back and it’s ready to shock and gag us all one more time. With fan favorites and even some All Stars alums making a return, there are bound to be a few twists and turns.

Drag Race season is starting early, ladies! The holiday season is in full swing, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have time to enjoy some good ol’ fashion eleganza! RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars season four is upon us, and if last season proved anything, we should definitely expect the unexpected. This season’s premiere already looks like it’s going to give us some twists and turns, so let’s jump right into it,

Heading into the workroom, the returning All Stars are surprised to see that there are only eight of them when they get a message from Ru: Monet X Change, Trinity The Tuck, Naomi Smalls, Gia Gunn, Farrah Moan, Monique Heart, Jasmine Masters, and (without a mask on this time) Valentina. But Ru brings in two extra surprise queens, two faces that definitely look very familiar to longtime Drag Race fans: Manila Luzon and Latrice Royale — otherwise known as Team Latrila on the very first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars back in 2012, when the duo had to compete as a pair (All Stars 1 was a weird time).

It’s unlikely they’ll compete as a pair again, but you never know what Ru has up his sleeve! All Stars rules are still in full effect. Each week, the top two queens will lipsync for their legacy, and the winner gets a $10,000 tip and the chance to eliminate another queen. Will the queens eliminate the weakest links, or go after the biggest threat, like Morgan McMichaels tried (and failed) to do last season?

For their mini challenge, Ru pulls out a big one, the reading challenge! Because reading is what? Fundamental! The premiere will also have the girls performing in an All Star variety show salute to LGBTQ troops. Prepare to see lots of high-energy dance numbers, lip sync performances to new singles, and hopefully no creepy acts like whatever Coco Montrese did on All Stars season 2! Guest judge Jennifer Lewis will surely be quick to put any queens who fail to impress her in their place.

So who do we think will earn their coveted spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame and join the likes of Chad Michaels, Alaska, and Trixie Mattel? You never know what could happen!
