Brie Larson says Captain Marvel could wield Mjolnir, and we’d have to agree

That’s right: Brie Larson thinks Captain Marvel could sling around Mjolnir. Honestly, we’d have to agree (even though Mew Mew is long gone, thanks to Hela).

During a brief interview with BuzzFeed Brasil, Brie Larson discussed what it was like to portray Captain Marvel and what she learned about herself from playing Carol Danvers. After the extensive superhero training on and offset, we trust Brie Larson’s opinion when it comes to Danvers. It’s why we wholeheartedly believe Larson when she says Captain Marvel could easily handle Thor’s mighty hammer.

When asked by the interview if Captain Marvel is worthy of wielding Mjolnir, Larson eagerly nods her head and says “definitely.” And we completely agree. Larson has been doing some hammer slinging of her own to prepare for her Captain Marvel role, after all.

Sure, Hela might have obliterated Mjolnir at the beginning of Thor: Ragnarok. However, if Captain Marvel truly wanted to prove it, she could go back in time either through a time vortex in the Quantum Realm or by her own super speed to alter the timeline or reverse time itself.

That’s right, Carol is so powerful that she could potentially use her enhanced velocity to revert time itself or propel herself backward in time. As CBR expands, Captain Marvel’s speed matches her strength. Judging by her dinosaur-punching, planet-tossing strength, we’d say she might harness enough speed to Barry Allen the timeline.

If Carol manages to take on her cosmically-enriched abilities, such as during her days as Binary, then all her typically powerful capabilities only increase in strength and speed, which would only bring her closer to the speed of light.

Even if Carol doesn’t go back in time to retrieve Mjolnir before Hela destroys it, we’re sure she could swing Stormbreaker around as well. The newest Marvel hero is incredibly strong (like shoving vehicles up a hill strong) and she’s worthy. Her altruistic nature would easily make the Allfather both proud and impressed. Overall, we’re certain Carol Danvers has enough strength and selfless determination to wield any Asgardian weapon.

Now, we can only hope for a Thor and Captain Marvel team up in Avengers: Endgame. After all, who wouldn’t want to see this powerful duo pass the metaphorical torch (in this case Stormbreaker, Mjolnir, or both) while they fight Thanos?
