Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson steps into Thor’s hammer-wielding territory

Brie Larson posted a video on her social media accounts showing that she is worthy of wielding Mjolnir, and Thor had better watch out.

With the introduction of Captain Marvel into the Marvel universe next year, many fans have been speculating and having a lot of fun discussions about how strong she is. Many fans can’t wait to see Captain Marvel use her full powers to help the Avengers defeat Thanos.

It’s always exciting for fans to compare their favorite characters, and Marvel fans have long discussed who other than Thor could be worthy of wielding Mjolnir. While none of the other Avengers have done so in the movies (sure, Captain America came pretty close in Age of Ultron), fans love to wonder and talk about the comics, too.

Brie Larson herself has shown that she is worthy to wield the hammer in a fun video that she posted online. She shared the video on her social media accounts, which showed her grabbing a hold of and swinging quite the large sledgehammer. In the video, she pretends like she is wielding Thor’s hammer, either Mjolnir or Uru.

Fans are loving this video, of course. In the tweet, she tags Chris Hemsworth, seemingly calling him out in a light-hearted, fun way. We will have to wait and see if Hemsworth replies to defend Thor or if he also supports the idea that Captain Marvel is worthy of wielding the hammer.

In the comics, Captain Marvel never took up Mjolnir, and, since the hammer was ruined in Thor: Ragnarok, she will not likely ever wield that particular hammer, either.

But, it’s always fun to see how the cast of these movies interact with each other and have fun with the Marvel lore and mythology. We love to see the cast members interact outside of the film and see how much they love inhabiting these characters.

We can’t wait to see Brie Larson play Captain Marvel in her own movie and in Avengers 4, and we are still waiting for some sort of Avengers 4 trailer to be released. But, until then, we can all enjoy seeing our favorite Marvel actors have some fun.
