Saturday Night Live season 44 episode 8 live stream: watch online

Saturday Night Live is taking a dive under the sea with Aquaman’s Jason Momoa, and he’ll be joined by returning musical guest, Mumford and Sons.

Prepare for Saturday Night Live to take you to the world of Atlantis when Jason Momoa, also known as Aquaman, takes the stage at 30 Rock this Saturday. Well, we can at least hope that SNL takes us to the fictional world with an Aquaman sketch, or else they’ll really have missed the mark.

Previously, other actors/heroes like Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye have appeared as their respective characters in SNL sketches. And being able to poke fun at the goofiness of superhero movies typically makes for a good sketch. It might be a little too easy to do an “Aquaman’s powers are useless” sketch because the joke’s been made for decades. But a Justice League-style sketch would really be the icing on the cake.

On a promo for this week’s Saturday Night Live, Momoa showed he (kind of) has what it takes to be part of the SNL team as an NBC Page. Sure, his methods might be a little extreme, but at least he’s down to play the part well. And if that can be any indication of his performance on SNL this weekend, then we know it’ll be a good one.

And how can we forget Momoa’s short-lived role as Khal Drogo? Game of Thrones sketch, anyone? The show might be still in hiatus (with Momoa gone for several seasons now), but we’re giving the SNL writers the opportunity to take some liberties here to bring the Dothraki back into the show.
