Why you should watch it for the holidays: While so far most of the movies on this list have been very traditional Christmas movies that tell the story of Christmas using bright, light imagery and snowmen and reindeer, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a little different. But, this movie is also definitely a Christmas classic, and it’s the perfect movie to watch anytime between October and January as it can be a Halloween movie or a Christmas one.
The style of Tim Burton is a nice refresher from all of the reds, greens, and stop-motion styles of other Christmas animated classics. If you need something a little different to watch,The Nightmare Before Christmas is the perfect animated holiday movie for you. This movie is a little darker and creepier, but still has a good message and a happy ending. You’ll love reliving all of the original songs from the film and seeing Jack learn about the importance of his role as Pumpkin King.
So, if you love The Nightmare Before Christmas, or if you’ve never seen it before, December is a great time to see the movie again or for the first time. This movie will make you enjoy Halloween and Christmas at the same time, which makes it one of the best animated holiday classics around. You can even watch it once in October and once in December.
