Titans season 1 episode 9: How to watch online

We might be ready to see how that intense scene between Kory and Rachel in episode 8 ends, but Titans episode 9, “Hank and Dawn,” will focus on the titular avian-themed duo.

On last week’s episode of Titans, Dick didn’t resolve his issues with compartmentalizing his superhero identity and his non-hero identity, and a lot of other stuff happened with the remaining four Titans. Garfield is still impacted from his latent guilt in “Asylum,” and Rachel helped Kory regain her memory right before Kory attempted to kill Rachel, and then the episode ends.

Episode 9, “Hank and Dawn,” might not resolve that cliffhanger.

The official DC Universe synopsis for “Hank and Dawn” is below:

"The origin story of Hank Hall and Dawn Granger’s relationship and the loss in each of their pasts that brings them together as vigilante Super Heroes Hawk and Dove."

On the surface, it seems like episode 9 is reverting back to the second episode, “Hawk and Dove.” However, the series’ decision to continue to focus on Hank and Dawn’s origin story immediately after the suspense in episode 8 could mean that the two are critical to Starfire’s story arc or pertinent to saving Rachel.

Since “Hank and Dawn” will focus on how they met and how they gained their respective vigilante monikers, episode 9 could reveal some Easter eggs regarding Kory’s past, before she got the car crash-induced concussion and forgot that she’s Starfire.

The chance that Hank and Dawn met Starfire before they officially donned their Hawk and Dove aliases is slim. However, the two could have encountered some notes or information written in Kory’s language while they were taking down crime syndicates and bad guys.

Though it’s unlikely, they could have also fought a Tamaranean in there past, such as Kory’s infamous sister, Blackfire. Regardless what “Hank and Dawn” reveals, episode 9 will likely give us context into specific characters’ pasts beyond the two that are featured in the title.

We’re still stressing about the previous episode’s cliffhanger, but we’re excited to watch more of Hank and Dawn’s backstory in their titular episode.
