Rebecca finally meets her match again, and she has to face her past, meaning that Greg Serrano is back on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and isn’t who he used to be.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is getting ready for its winter break, and that means that are dreams are finally coming true: Greg Serrano is coming back to West Covina! Well, a different Greg but Greg nonetheless. It seems as if Greg is a changed man, and…he changed his face?
We know that Santino Fontana decided to not come back to the show for its final season and while sad, that doesn’t mean we’re not getting Greg. In fact, Spring Awakening’s Skylar Astin is taking on the role of Greg Serrano and bringing him back to West Covina to see Rebecca and, hopefully, stop her from making the same mistakes with Josh Chan again.
We saw last week that Rebecca and Josh were roommates with each other and that means that we could maybe see the two together again and honestly, that’s a recipe for disaster. They never really had a good relationship to begin with, and now that Rebecca is finally starting to take her mental health seriously and work on who she is, she doesn’t need Josh Chan (or any man really) ruining that.
It doesn’t necessarily need to be Greg who shines light on the situation but hopefully having him around again will remind Rebecca of what it was like back when everything was first happening when she moved to West Covina. Hopefully, he’ll be the reason Rebecca wakes up again, goes back to group, and starts to get herself back on track.
But we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the episode.
