The Good Place comes out of the Thanksgiving break with a brand new episode to keep our happy spirits lifted. I mean, what’s happier than our human friends potentially being damned to an eternity of torture?

There’s so much at stake right now. If you forgot how the last episode ended, demons showed up on Earth to take everyone back with them, Michael and Janet included. Janet kicked some demon butt, and as more demons came to haul them in, took everyone into her void.

So they very well could be dead. The only thing to survive her void so far has been Derek, as Derek as he is. And who knows how much of a Derek Derek can Derek. Wait… I think I Derek’d too much.

The official synopsis for this week’s episode, in case you missed it:

"With Janet’s help, Michael hatches a plan."

I’m really hoping that we get to see a new Janet emerge. And I don’t mean this current Janet rebooting, since she’s beyond all Janets before her (…if there are any before her).

I keep pointing out that we haven’t seen any other good Janets except for ours, who has been rebooted over 800 times.

Also… we don’t know much about Janet’s void. Can she just appear anywhere? (Aside from places on Earth) If she can teleport them directly into the Accountant’s chambers, that would help get them around the Judge.

But it also feels like a bit of a cheat. Plus we need to see if our friends survived her void anyway…
