Empire season 5 episode 9 live stream: Watch online

With LFM on the line for the umpteenth time this season, the Lyons try to pull off a successful showcase. But will Kingsley have the last laugh?

We’ve finally reached it (for real this time), the final episode of the first half of Empire’s fifth season.

According to SpoilerTV, the Empire mid-season finale, “Had it From My Father,” will show ALL of the Lyon sons (including Kingsley) getting their buttons pushed:

"The financial security of the Lyon family is on the line as their LFM showcase quickly approaches. Kai’s (guest star Toby Onwumere) research for an expose on Empire uncovers some dirty activity within the company and causes conflict with Jamal. Meanwhile, Hakeem and Tiana finally reach an agreement on how best to move forward with their relationship, Andre struggles with his decision to let a new love interest in and Kingsley strikes a deal with Giselle…"

This week’s preview shows the Lyons putting the final touches on the LFM showcase. Cookie reiterates that the showcase is a big deal and that everyone needs to stay focused because if it doesn’t go without a hitch, they’ll lose everything.

Elsewhere, Kingsley and Giselle seem to have rejoined forces after Giselle learns the secret behind Kingsley’s paternity. Giselle and Kingsley plan to stop the Lyons together, but when Lucious finally has enough of Kingsley and starts giving him the beating he deserves, Giselle tries to put a stop to it. “He’s your son,” we see Giselle scream in the preview as Lucious looks on in horror.

A bloodied Kingsley crashes the showcase and threatens to reveal his and Lucious’ big little secret to the world. Andre vows to end Kingsley. “Unless I end you first, baby bro,” Kingsley quips back. So we now know that Kingsley was born before Andre. So, if Kingsley is the oldest Lyon son,  how old was Lucious when he met Cookie, and were they together when Kingsley was conceived?
