DC Universe Titans season 1 episode 8: How to watch online

Viewers are ready to meet the on-screen incarnation of Donna Troy, aka Wonder Girl, in the next episode of Titans on DC Universe.

The Titans haven’t even officially assembled and the team will dissemble in episode 8 (at least temporarily). Episode 8, “Donna Troy,” will focus on introducing a new character, figuring out Kory’s identity, and the ever-prevalent theme of the series: family.

Batman-News shares the complete synopsis for “Donna Troy” which we have below:

"As the Titans disband to go their separate ways, Dick decides to turn to old friend and investigative journalist, Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl (guest star CONOR LESLIE), for answers. When he’s soon embroiled in her undercover investigation of a crime syndicate, he realizes that past events have taken more of a psychological toll than he previously imagined. Meanwhile, seeing Kory’s distress over her inability to recover her identity, Rachel attempts to use her powers to heal Kory’s memory… with unintended and frightening consequences."

As Dick Grayson tries to find guidance for his life outside of his Robin suit, he turns to, Donna Troy, a former aspirational figure in life. Conor Leslie, the actress who portrays Donna, tells AfterBuzz the reason Dick turns to Donna is that they have a supportive history together as platonic friends.

Speaking of Donna’s relationship with Dick, Leslie adds:

"I think what’s really incredible, and fans will know this, is that Dick and Donna have such a beautiful friendship, and it is that. It’s a really incredible friendship, like a brother and sister, and we really leaned into that on the show, even in this first episode that you see them in."

Beyond their family bond, Donna acts as a mentor in Dick’s life. Given that Dick has spent so much of his life working alongside Batman, he’s still trying to find himself and his voice as a hero that separate from his former identity as Robin.

Leslie notes in her interview with AfterBuzz:

"The characters are going to interact in a sort. [Donna’s] coming into this because Dick comes to her. He initially, we obviously see in the preview, is showing up because he’s just burned the suit. He’s really out of answers. He’s at a crossroads, and so he turns to someone who basically he’s known his whole life and trusts incredibly. He knows that Donna has found a way to have a life outside of her identity as Wonder Girl."

The eighth episode of the season will rewind on its storytelling to curate a more individualized approach to each character’s development, which will likely reminisce on the early episode the set up each character introductions.

Based on the synopsis and the episode preview, “Donna Troy” will also focus on Rachel and Kory’s found-family bond as Rachel helps Kory learn who she really is.

Proving Titans can multitask, episode eight will continue to explore each character’s development as it pertains to the integral family dynamics within the series. While the preview has been transparent about Donna and Dick’s sibling-like bond, we’ll have to login to DC Universe to find out if we’ll see Kory’s mother and sister in the new episode.
