We might still be digesting our turkey dinners, but the gang from Riverdale is hot on the case(s). Even though it’s been a little while since we’ve been to the town with pep, our favorite gang is definitely not cooling their heels.

Two weeks is a long time to go without a new episode, but it looks like “Chapter Forty-One: Manhunter” might be making up for lost time.

Jughead is officially in too deep with the Gryphons and Gargoyles game, and we get a little peek at just how deep this whole cult thing goes. Apparently, the Gargoyle King has disciples, and the ubiquitous and cryptic symbol we’ve seen over the last few weeks means “sacrifice,” if we are to believe Joaquin. But why would we? What does he even have to do with any of this?

“Prison” Archie is now “on the run” Archie, and it looks like he might be recruiting Kevin to help him get the heck out of this tiny little town in which it would be impossible to hide from police. Per usual, Veronica gets her nonsense all over the situation, and I find her forced tears and baby-voice personally victimizing. I swear. These two deserve each other. Ugh.

Also, reliably, Betty takes control of the situation, and acts like the only one with any sort of sense. She’s the one who should be running for mayor and owning a speakeasy, for sure.
