Michael B. Jordan says he’d be interested in a Killmonger spinoff
ERCould Michael B. Jordan ever return as Killmonger? The Black Panther actor shares his thoughts about a villainous comeback.
One of the best things ever is seeing your favorite actor spending time with cute animals. So, if you love Michael B. Jordan and puppies, you’re going to love this interview he did with BuzzFeed.
During the interview, Jordan offered a glimmer of hope to Black Panther fans. While yes, technically Killmonger is a bad guy and (seemingly) died at the end of the film, fans are more than ready to see him return. And during his interview with BuzzFeed, Jordan expressed interest in a Killmonger comeback, too.
When asked if there would be a film solely about Killmonger, Jordan replied:
"I don’t know, that’s above my pay grade. But, I love Marvel, I love that character, so to be able to team up with Chadwick, and Marvel and Ryan … To get back on set and work with them again would be a lot of fun. But, who knows?"
So far, there are no confirmations for Black Panther spinoffs or television series, but we’re sure fans would be down for them. Plus with Disney planning Marvel-focused limited series for its streaming service, Killmonger could very well be the focus for one. So far, a Loki spinoff is in the works, proving that Disney and Marvel are cool with giving less heroic characters some spotlight.
Aside from likely sparking new Killmonger fan theories, Jordan also discussed his recent role in Creed II and mentioning his favorite anime is Naruto. Honestly, if you didn’t already love Jordan, this interview will do you in.
Would you like to see Killmonger return sometime soon — either in Black Panther 2 or his own spin-off?
