A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy live stream: Watch online

Ring in the holiday season with John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s joint Christmas special tonight on NBC, and get ready to deck the halls.

The fact that prior to this year, John Legend didn’t have a holiday album of any kind is surely some sort of injustice. However, the universe is righting this wrong not just by giving us A Legendary Christmas (the actual album) but also putting Legend and Chrissy Teigen together on TV screens for A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy.

If those two aren’t enough for you, though, Stevie Wonder, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian will be among the guests. Publicity photos released seem to show that Teigen will likely be cooking (or at least preparing a gingerbread house), since she’s just released another cookbook in her Cravings line.

But if you’re just here for the music, worry not: the episode listing promises that yes, Legend will perform some of those new songs, just in case you haven’t streamed it enough (whether you start holiday music after Thanksgiving or before). Earlier this week, Teigen also released a new promo on Twitter, and if nothing else, it proves that the couple has a great sense of humor.

As users noted on Twitter, yes, that’s Legend dusting his Grammy, Emmy, Oscar, and Tony Awards.

Among others, Awkwafina and Ben Schwartz also appear in the promo, which makes it seem as though there will be some great comedic moments to be had. Honestly, whatever this special is, it’s probably going to be fun at the very least. You can’t just go for the obvious pun on Legend’s name otherwise.

It’s also only an hour long, counting commercials, and according to NBC’s schedule, it’ll follow the longer Rockefeller Center Christmas special, which will also feature Legend singing. That’s a large investment into his performative skills, but again, the man has an EGOT. If he’s not worth it, who is?

We would say probably no one.
