Store Thanksgiving hours 2018: Is Target open?

Getting a jump on your Black Friday shopping used to mean heading out after Thanksgiving dinner to stand in long lines. Now you can head to Target after dinner instead.

It is hard to think of Thanksgiving without thinking of Black Friday. And thanks to stores like Target, you don’t even have to think of these days as being separate from each other. In fact, the retail giant is making it easier to go from feasting to shopping.

In a roundup of holiday store hours, Newsweek revealed that much like last year, Target will be opening on Thanksgiving day. However, this year, stores will be open two extra hours.

On Thanksgiving, shoppers can head to their local Target starting at 5 p.m., although they will not stay open through Black Friday. Instead, Target’s Thanksgiving store hours are 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. Friday morning. And for shoppers looking to head out on Black Friday, you can return to the store as of 7 a.m. on Friday morning.
