Store Thanksgiving hours 2018: Is Chipotle open?
Thanksgiving might be all about good food and company, but that doesn’t mean you want to do all the cooking yourself. So does this mean Chipotle instead?
On Thanksgiving, we tend not to think of fast food restaurants or dining out as much as we do at other times of the year. Instead, this is a day of cooking festive meals at home and spending time with our loved ones. But sometimes we just crave Chipotle.
And that leads to the big question of the season: is Chipotle open on Thanksgiving? Sadly, the answer seems to be no, the Mexican Grill is not open on Thanksgiving. Not only did we get this information from HolidayShoppingHours.com, but we also asked a store employee directly. The Chipotle team member let us know that the restaurant is not open on Thanksgiving this year.
This means if you want fresh guacamole, hot queso, or a delicious burrito bowl, you will have to wait until Black Friday to indulge in your favorites. And if you have no interest in braving the crowds after relaxing all day on Thanksgiving, then you can always choose to have your burritos delivered using their app or one of their delivery partners (such as Postmates or DoorDash).
And if you really can’t wait for your next Chipotle fix, the restaurant even has you covered on Thanksgiving, as it offers up its “not so secret” recipe to the perfect guacamole. In seven easy steps, you can have a bowl of guac, while watching football or enjoying a movie. All you will need is 2 Haas avocados, lime juice, cilantro, red onion, jalapeno, and kosher salt.
Chipotle even breaks down how it makes its guacamole on their website, step-by-step. So if you want a taste of your favorite Mexican Grill even on their off day, no worries because you’re covered.
While Chipotle may be closed on Thanksgiving, if you really don’t want to cook or eat in, there are other options out there, including Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks.
