Superstore season 4 episode 7 live stream: Watch online

Amy has an awkward run-in with Jonah’s parents as Cloud 9 launches a new customer appreciation initiative on this week’s Superstore.

Meeting the parents is always an uncomfortable, rather awkward phase of any relationship, but once again, Superstore‘s Amy and Jonah prove things could always be worse.

For instance, you could meet your boyfriend’s family on the job, working as his manager at a big box store, having just given birth to a baby that isn’t his even though you two hooked up in the photo department and had your sex tape live-streamed to every store around the world.

Talk about a first impression.

Amy’s meeting with Jonah’s parents comes after last week’s episode which saw the assistant manager forced to return to work after only a couple days worth of maternity leave. She’s looking and feeling marginally better than she did then — the sweatpants are gone folks — but we can’t imagine this is how she wanted to introduce herself to Jonah’s family.

Of course, Jonah’s a weird dude, so his parental unit is a bit out there too. Cloud 9’s customer appreciation initiative draws Jonah’s mom and dad to the store where they bond with Amy in some strange ways.

While she’s busy testing out mattresses with the pair and escorting them around the store, Dinah and Garrett are stuck in a battle of smiles.

Apparently, this new initiative is forcing two of the surlier employees of Cloud 9 to make more of an effort when it comes to customer service. Because Dinah must go all-out with everything she does, and because Garrett is an extremely competitive person, the two challenge each other to a smiling contest.

Imagining Dinah and Garrett smiling for prolonged periods of time is just weird, but hopefully, we’ll be treated to some more sexual tension between the pair. Their relationship was put on hold because of Dinah’s surrogacy but now that the babies have been birthed, all bets are off.
