This is going to be a big episode for Saturday Night Live following the midterms elections that have come to pass. Host Liev Schreiber will be in a special place through all of this. And maybe musical guest Lil Wayne can get in on the fun, too.

The House is now dominated by the Democrats while the Senate still remains in the power of the Republicans. And while there were lots of odds and ends to the victories of this election (Ted Cruz being reelected, Georgia approaching a runoff election and Florida being just Florida), there’s one political moment that Saturday Night Live can’t miss: the resignation of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Sessions became a beloved character (only on SNL) because of his portrayal by the hilarious Kate McKinnon. It was becoming a staple character of hers, and this episode will probably be her farewell moment to the politician. Now would be a better time than any to have Alec Baldwin come back again this season to be Donald Trump in the cold open, not only to address the resignation, but for a few other moments too.

Trump had his share of addressing the results of the midterms, but the most “scandalous” moment was when the president clashed with CNN reporter Jim Acosta… and then the whole altered “fake news” footage shared by Sarah Huckabee Sanders that followed. This week in politics could make up SNL‘s entire episode, honestly. But these moments will likely be compacted into the cold open and Weekend Update.
