Amy gets some bad news on this week’s episode of Superstore. Here’s where you can watch the show live.
Amy’s post-birth bliss is interrupted by some terrible news on this week’s episode of Superstore.
After being forced to give birth in a disease-ridden clinic last week, Amy had plans to soak up her six weeks of maternity leave by catching up on sleep, bonding with her newborn, and avoiding any talk of Cloud 9.
Of course, things are never that easy.
It’s Glenn who’s given the happy job of letting Amy know that the maternity leave she was counting on isn’t available to her anymore. The reason: her live-streamed hook-up with Jonah at the end of season 3.
The two were caught getting it on in the photo department, forcing corporate to suspend them. We thought that suspension would be the end of that particular plot point, but the pair’s indiscretion has reared its ugly head yet again. Sure, Amy’s worked at Cloud 9 for 15 years, and technically, she qualifies for maternity leave, but corporate decided to “reset the clock” after her suspension — meaning she doesn’t get the perks she was once entitled to.
Have we mentioned the folks at corporate are complete trash? Because they definitely are.
While Amy deals with her maternity leave dilemma, Jonah and Garrett take over for Glenn in interviewing candidates for the store’s seasonal hiring spurt.
Glenn obviously can’t be trusted to not hire complete weirdos so the two bros are left to deal with the more worrisome candidates, The Middle star Eden Sher doing a variation of her Sue Heck character chief among them. We can pretty much guarantee Sher will be sticking around for a bit — she’s giving just the right amount of funny and strange that the show specializes in — but it’s a safe bet Jonah and Garrett won’t be happy about the new hire.
