It’s never a dull day at Grey Sloan, even if Meredith Grey isn’t around for some of the drama. This week’s episode takes Meredith down to Southern California along with Koracick. The two doctors are summoned by Catherine Avery, who is preparing her new foundation, to help her with a “highly confidential patient.”
ABC’s synopsis for tonight’s episode notes that while Grey is away from the hospital, Richard is tasked with aiding a pregnant nurse who has just collapsed.
"Catherine is in Los Angeles getting the new foundation ready and summons Meredith and Koracick to visit for a highly confidential consult. Meanwhile, one of the nurses is 28 weeks pregnant and collapses at the hospital while talking to Richard."
In a preview for tonight’s episode, we learn Grey and Koracick will be aiding a 65-year-old woman who has been complaining of neck and back pain. There is fan speculation that this patient could actually be Catherine herself. With Richard tending to the fallen, pregnant nurse, Catherine could go under the knife without him knowing at all… or if he does, he’ll have to keep his cool while worrying about his wife.
