Arrow season 7 episode 4 live stream: Watch online
By Amy Woolsey
The search for Diaz continues to push everyone to the edge of the law. Here’s all the information you need on how to watch Arrow tonight.
Five months after they succeeded in dismantling Ricardo Diaz’s operation, Team Arrow is still no closer to catching the aspiring kingpin.
Part of the problem, of course, is that Team Arrow barely exists anymore. With Oliver in prison and the FBI on constant surveillance, characters have gone their separate ways, and they keep accidentally tripping over each other. Last week, Felicity teamed up with Samanda in an effort to catch Diaz breaking into the CDC, but he managed to slip through their fingers yet again.
Another part of the problem is that Arrow seems intent on dragging its feet. Despite a promising premiere, season 7 is beginning to succumb to repetition. Oliver’s storyline, in particular, has been going in circles as he struggles to navigate the Byzantine prison hierarchy. It doesn’t help that his scenes are uniformly saturated with a dull gray visual palette.
Hopefully, this week’s episode makes some progress. Felicity and Rene did manage to capture Silencer, and with Samanda transferred to a desk job in Washington D.C., they no longer face the pressure of having to obey the law. Meanwhile, Oliver has gotten access to Level Two, which should allow him to access the Demon, who supposedly has information on Diaz. At least I think that’s the idea. Again, it’s hard to tell where this is going, but the show better get there soon.
Below is the official synopsis for the episode, titled “Level Two,” courtesy of The CW:
"Oliver (Stephen Amell) makes a drastic move in his quest to find Diaz (Kirk Acevedo). Like her husband, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) pulls out all the stops to get to Diaz. Meanwhile, when arsonists target Rene’s (Rick Gonzalez) community center, injuring Zoe (guest star Eliza Faria) in the process, the mysterious new Green Arrow swoops in to help save the day. Faced with pressure from the mayor to capture the vigilante, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) must decide if following the rules at all costs is the best plan to keep the city safe."
Frankly, four separate storylines seem like a bit much for an episode, seeing as Arrow is having difficulty giving weight to even one. But the promo images show Curtis holding a Beebo doll, so maybe “Level Two” will at least have a sense of humor.
Speaking of which, will that “Curtis goes undercover” plot mentioned in the synopsis for “Crossing Lines” ever happen? Or was it just edited out? Inquiring minds would like to know.
