Poldark season 4 episode 6 live stream: Watch online
Poldark will finally let Demelza visit London after five episodes of not letting her leave Cornwall, but as always, trouble looms.
It’s time for Ross to finally give Demelza some time off from the family, running his mines for him, and the household in general. Let’s face it: Demelza has been working hard, and she usually doesn’t get much in the way of thanks for it. It’s nice for Ross to actually notice that she deserves this and pretty much anything and everything that he can give her that is not just jewelry.
(Yes, we have strong opinions about Demelza and what she deserves.)
Anyway, that all being said, it’s not like London doesn’t also house other characters right now, including George and Elizabeth. Since George has mostly just walked around and looked incredibly smug in recent episodes, it’s not bad that they’ll get some of the spotlight in this episode, per PBS:
"George finds the opportunity to ruin a business rival and the Poldarks in the process. Ross whisks Demelza off for a passionate getaway in London, and Elizabeth has news for George."
See what we mean? Anyway, the news is probably that Elizabeth is pregnant, since they’ve both been bringing children up a lot recently. Moreover, it’s not like her social connections have really been working out lately anyway. There’s probably not much else she’ll have in the way of news for her husband.
Missing from this synopsis are both Dwight and Caroline, who still remain separated as far as we know. However, Caroline had an emotional breakthrough on last week’s episode, meaning that the couple could very well reunite in this episode to make sure that they have some time for mutual storylines before the season ends.
Finally, getting back to Ross and Demelza, we will bet money that this “getaway” results in her also becoming pregnant again. We know from the books that there are more children on the way for the both of them, and this seems like the time to start this plot going around. Beyond that, though, there may be time for Demelza to actually meet up with Caroline and also help her process her grief over losing little Sarah. After all, they’ve put together a good friendship, and if Ross can get Caroline to have that big of a breakthrough, then Demelza can probably help even more, right?
Well, it does make a modicum of sense. Here’s hoping the episode lets that female friendship shine. Here’s how you can watch:
