Doctor Who season 11 episode 5 live stream: Watch online

The brand-new season of Doctor Who continues this Sunday. Here’s everything you need to know to watch “The Tsuranga Conundrum” online and not miss a minute.

Doctor Who season 11 is about to get under way for real. That’s maybe weird to say, given that this is its fifth episode, but there’s a lot of set-up to get through when you’re introducing a whole new batch of characters.

However, now that everyone’s met aliens, realized time travel exists, been given the opportunity to return home and rejected it out of hand, all the boxes are ticked. Yaz, Ryan, and Graham may all have different reasons for wanting to travel with the Doctor, but they’re all part of the newly reconstituted Team TARDIS by choice now. The real adventures can begin.

This particular installment is titled “The Tsuranga Conundrum,” though exactly none of us know what that means.

The BBC official synopsis describes the gang’s first official trip together as follows:

"Injured and stranded in the wilds of a far-flung galaxy, the Doctor, Yaz, Graham and Ryan must band together with a group of strangers to survive against one of the universe’s most deadly – and unusual – creatures."

Thanks to some dedicated sleuthing on the part of Cultbox TV, we know that the episode finds Thirteen and her friends are injured in a “sonic mine” explosion on a junk planet. Is that why they’re stranded now? Or is that a completely different part of the story?

(On some level, it’s kind of fun to not have any idea at all what’s going on. Literally everything’s a surprise! But also…we have no idea what’s going on. Give us some crumbs to work with, show!)

Surprise! The trailer is almost no help at all in this area.

Guess we’ll just have to tune in and see what happens.
