Saturday Night Live is after a short break with host Jonah Hill and musical guest Maggie Rogers. Here’s how you can watch.

The wait is over, and we’re getting more Saturday Night Live this weekend after the show was off air for a three-week break. This time, Jonah Hill is taking the stage as the host, joined by Maggie Rogers as the musical guest.

Perhaps the most interesting person on the show this week isn’t the host, but a cast member. SNL‘s break seems well-timed, seeing as Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande broke off their engagement during the show’s first weekend off. It’s likely given Davidson some time to recuperate by not having to worry about the show, and now it seems he’s readily able to make fun of it.

In the show’s promo, Davidson jokingly proposes to Maggie Rogers, and she turns him down. Then Davidson sadly accepts he’s “0-for-three” with his engagements. Grande, it seems, didn’t find this so funny. And according to CNN, Grande supposedly responded to the promo by writing in now-deleted tweets: “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh,” as well as “Thank u, next,” and “k that’s the last time we do that.”

In good taste, reports say Davidson axed a sketch that would deal with his and Grande’s breakup. And honestly, SNL shouldn’t go touching this situation with a 10-foot pole. Davidson might be comfortable joking about this situation, but it seems like they mutually agreed not to “not discuss their breakup in public,” according to the Complex article linked above.

Really, now that Jonah Hill is back, let’s just stick with those hilarious Adam Grossman sketches. If there isn’t one, it’s an opportunity wasted.

Let’s not even talk about what facepalm-inducing political ground they might cover for the cold open. They’ve got plenty of options, per usual.
