On this week’s The Good Place, Tahani looks to save her family while Eleanor may end up killing hers. Get ready to live stream, you benches!

The Good Place just can’t keep our main characters out of trouble, can it?

I mean, it wouldn’t be a fun television show if they weren’t constantly in trouble. Tonight’s latest episode doesn’t sound like it  bodes well for Tahani, Janet, or Eleanor, as they all look to confront their past.

And in case you missed the official synopsis for this week’s episode:

"Eleanor makes a startling discovery that tests her resolve, Tahani looks to make amends and Janet does some bonding."

Tahani’s family has never treated her with respect or really cared about her whatsoever. I’ve already said a lot on this, so I won’t rehash it. Let’s just leave it at: This can only go poorly!

The synopsis makes it sound like Eleanor will confront her mother. Somehow I feel as though she will be a completely changed person, mostly because this show loves to go against what you anticipate. And if Eleanor’s mother is still a horrible person, that just seems too run of the mill. Jason’s dad staying “bad” just feels right, but doing it two episodes in a row with two separate parents?

No way, there’s going to be some sort of catch.

Janet’s bonding more than likely means Jason. And if Jason and Tahani are separated during this episode, maybe Janet makes some moves? Or at least does so in a Janet way, i.e. incredibly politely and awkwardly because Jason technically is married.

But she needs to start somewhere. Friendship is a good place, right? And he’s only legally married to Tahani–they’ve both said it’s platonic (though we know how it can end up…).
