Supernatural season 14 episode 4 live stream: Watch online

A spooky Halloween episode will challenge Sam and Dean as comic book action figures come alive. With Michael still on the loose, are the Winchesters ready?

The fourth episode of the new season of Supernatural will air tonight, entitled “Mint Condition”, the name being a reference to the story being set in a comic book store. It appears that Sam and Dean are taking some time out of their busy schedules of trying to track down the Archangel Michael, and will embark on a small hunting trip during Halloween.

The synopsis from The CW for the episode “Mint Condition” is below:

"HALLOWEEN HORROR – Dean (Jensen Ackles) continues to struggle. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) must think fast when action figures come to life, and our heroes find themselves living in a real-life horror movie."

With such a small summary, it’s safe to say that this episode might not be important for the general arc of season 14. However, will it provide some “normality” for the boys? With Dean not long escaped from Michael’s possession, the synopsis suggests that his character will do what he usually does: bury his feelings and distract himself from the pain by killing some monsters. Whether it will help Dean come to terms with his trauma is another issue. With a case as strange as action figures coming to life and attacking people, it’s sure to keep the brothers busy.

This hunting trip might also be a way for Sam and Dean to re-connect and spend some quality time with each other. What better way for hunters to bond than to go hunting? With the start of season 14 being so full of guest stars and supporting characters, which has built a strong network and family round the boys which they have never really had before, it will be nice to strip the show back down for one episode and focus solely on Sam and Dean.
