Fan thinks the Avengers 4 title was mentioned in Age of Ultron

With the popular rumored title for Avengers 4 being “Annihilation,” one fan thinks a line in Age of Ultron could confirm those rumors.
If the Russo brothers have any free time on their hands, they’re probably watching the internet with a smile of delight as Marvel fans scramble to find any shred of evidence that might suggest what the Avengers 4 title is. Right now, the most popular theory out their holds that the name of the movie will be Avengers: Annihilation, even though some fans aren’t 100 percent sold on that being the actual title.
Still, with some believing that Annihilation could be the one, a fan on Reddit noticed something particularly interesting in Avengers: Age of Ultron that relates to this potential title.
The scene occurs after Scarlet Witch has tapped into the Vision’s mind, and she tells him something important: “I looked into your head and saw annihilation.”
If this were to be a big hint about what’s to come, then it seems Marvel set all this up very well. It’s not like Thanos wasn’t in the picture during this phase of the MCU. Joss Whedon had him set up in the first Avengers, and his work setting up what would happen in Infinity War didn’t stop in Age of Ultron. The only thing Whedon probably wasn’t expecting was to be dropped from the Avengers franchise, but that’s beside the point.
With this mention of “annihilation,” some commentators suggested it was simply Wanda referencing Ultron, who Vision was a product of. If there were still some remnants of Ultron left in Vision, then she was more than likely referring to his oncoming destruction of Sokovia, not Thanos.
Rumors have also suggested that the vision Tony has after Wanda manipulates his mind in Age of Ultron strangely/coincidentally features the surviving Avengers in Infinity War. While it’s easy to say “duh,” since these are the people Tony’s cared about since the battle of New York, it could still be a look into the future for Avengers 4. In the vision, Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow all appear dead, but it’s Captain America’s death that seems to grip Tony the most. And seeing as some think Captain America will be one of the Avengers to die in the next film, Tony’s vision could possibly come to fruition. Of course, this could all just be a coincidence, but we can never confirm if his vision is actually a prophecy until we see it in Avengers 4 for sure.
With those two bits of information, it might be entirely possible that Age of Ultron is full of Infinity War and Avengers 4 clues and eggs. But at the same time, these do feel like a bit of a stretch. As far as the Russo brothers go, they’d never come up with a title we could so easily guess. And the Age of Ultron vision could have been nothing more than just showing off Tony’s fears. There may be some similarities between the movies, but it may be more coincidental than anything else.
What do you think about the name drop in Avengers: Age of Ultron? Completely coincidental or meant to set up Avengers 4?
