Dancing with the Stars week 5 live stream: Watch online
Will dreams come true for some of the couples on Dancing with the Stars, or will one couple have to settle for a poison apple instead?
If the subheading there doesn’t tip you off, and if you don’t remember what Tom Bergeron said last week, it is time for Disney Night on Dancing with the Stars. That means that should we see any perfect scores, you can bet the paddle will have Mickey Mouse ears.
But that theme will extend to the music used for each of the couples, too. However, interestingly enough, only one dance has more than one couple performing it tonight: the quickstep. Everyone else gets something different.
That won’t stop us from sorting by dance style, though. After all, it’s actually still important. Here’s what ABC’s press release has to say.
Charleston
"DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: “A Star is Born,” Hercules"
Could this become the start of the comeback for DeMarcus and Lindsay? This is an athletic style that could see him use his strength to pull off some wild lifts. However, it also requires a certain lightness of movement that might be a challenge.
Contemporary
"Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber: “Reflection,” Mulan"
It is possible to not get a perfect score for a contemporary; we’ve seen that this season already. However, this is basically the perfect contemporary song, and there’s a chance it’ll end really well.
Foxtrot
"Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten: “Just Around the Riverbend,” Pocahontas"
It’s nice to see Pocahontas getting some love, and “Just Around the Riverbend” is actually a great song, thank you.
Jazz
"Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: “When Will My Life Begin?”, Tangled"
So far in this, we’ve seen a lot of great songs. This jazz from Evanna and Keo should be no exception; “When Will My Life Begin?” should lend some energy so long as Evanna and Keo can tap into the musicality. She’s been able to do that, though.
Jive
"Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson: “Zero,” Ralph Breaks the Internet"
Do you think that Joe and Jenna got this song because of its newness? After all, his scores haven’t really broken the leaderboard at any point in this season. They need some excitement wherever they can get it.
Quickstep
"John Schneider and Emma Slater: “I Wan’na Be Like You,” The Jungle BookMilo Manheim and Witney Carson: “Incredits 2,” The Incredibles 2"
Milo and Witney actually have the only song all night that doesn’t include lyrics at all. That might help, especially since the score from The Incredibles 2 has a significant amount of energy that’ll suit Milo as a dancer. As for “I Wan’na Be Like You,” it’s popular for a reason: it’s fun.
Viennese Waltz
"Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke: “Gaston,” Beauty and the Beast"
Juan Pablo hasn’t had much experience with ballroom yet, but this is a great song anyway, and it’ll let him use his charm.
Waltz
"Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess: “Part of Your World,” The Little Mermaid"
Well, Sharna is the only redhead in the cast. Sure, it’s probably not the only reason this couple got a song from The Little Mermaid, but it’s a little obvious.
