Charmed season 1 episode 2 live stream: Watch online
By Evie Taylor
The second episode of the new Charmed airs tonight and sisters Mel, Maggie and Macy, will find it difficult to work with their allies, including themselves.
The wait is over tonight as the Charmed witches will hopefully get a step closer to discovering whether their whitelighter advisor, Harry, should be trusted, or whether he is an imposter. Last week saw the pilot episode of Charmed close off with a mysterious message from Mel, Maggie, and Macy’s mother, who delivered a warning from the afterlife not to trust Harry.
With the task of mastering their new magical powers on the horizon, the Charmed ones will need all the help they can get from allies and friends. However, they will first need to distinguish which allies are genuine and which are not. Tonight’s episode will allow Mel, Maggie and Macy to confront Harry about what his true motives are and whether he is really on their side.
Is Harry actually a dark spirit imitating a whitelighter in order to get close to the girls and betray them? Or is the warning of caution towards Harry fake, invented by an evil foe posing as the girl’s mother? The imposter may be revealed tonight.
Read the synopsis from The CW for the second episode entitled “Let This Mother Out” below:
"SEEN AND HEARD — After getting a message from the spirit board to not trust Harry (Rupert Evans), the sisters are conflicted and ultimately concoct a plan to see if he is telling the truth. Desperate to believe the person warning them is trying to protect them, they end up going against their better judgement. Harry soon realizes that the sisters are up to no good and tries to help before it’s too late.Meanwhile, this new sisterly unit is not fully unified, with Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Macy (Madeleine Mantock) struggling with who’s the real big sister and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) caught in the middle."
It seems Harry isn’t the only person the sisters should be watching out for tonight as tensions begin to rise amongst the siblings themselves. Last week Macy was introduced to the show as an older half-sister to Mel and Maggie, whom their mother had never mentioned. With the union of the three sisters still fresh and raw, it seems each of the girls will have trouble finding their own role within the family.
Mel, who was initially presented as a controlling and confident character last week, may find it difficult to cooperate with her sisters, longing to make all the decisions and become the head of the family, potentially to replace their mom. Macy, clearly being the most intellectual and objective of the group, might sabotage Mel’s plan to lead the family by disagreeing with hasty ideas, and wanting to fully consider all of the different options. It appears Maggie will be the baby sister charged with the task of keeping the peace and promoting communication.
Having a supportive and strong family network and sisterly bond will only benefit the girls as they set off on their magical journey to destroy evil. Arguments and internal conflict will only make things worse.
