Michael Douglas says Quantum Realm is ‘key’ to the what’s next in the MCU
Another person involved in the MCU notes that the Quantum Realm could hold play a huge role in Avengers 4 and other MCU films.
As we get closer and closer to Avengers 4, and hopefully some actual official information like a title, more theories and quotes from those involved seem to point to the importance of the Quantum Realm.
While Peyton Reed, director of Ant-Man and the Wasp, has already said that time vortexes could play a part in the time travel in Avengers 4, now an Ant-Man actor is also talking about the potential importance of the Quantum Realm.
Michael Douglas, who played Hank Pym in the movie, has once again said that this subatomic place will play a large part in the future of Marvel movies.
In an interview on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Douglas said, “I mean, all of them. I mean, the Quantum Realm, that’s the key. That’s the key. The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.”
It’s also interesting to note that he doesn’t just say Avengers 4; he says films in general. So, maybe the Quantum Realm will also play a role in other films such as Captain Marvel? While theories about how the realm could impact future movies abound, check out two popular ones here.
The Quantum Realm first appeared in the first Ant-Man movie, and, when further explored in Ant-Man and the Wasp, has shown to be a doorway to the multiverse in the MCU. During the end credits scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hank, Janet, and Hope are snapped out of existence by Thanos and Scott Lang is trapped in the Quantum Realm. Maybe he will be able to learn more about this microverse and discover more about the time vortexes there in order to help the Avengers save the world and those they lost.
While we don’t know for sure what part it will play, it’s safe to say the Quantum Realm was not introduced by accident.
Do you have any theories about the Quantum Realm? We would love to hear them!
