Prince Harry’s reunion with his 98-year-old friend is too cute for words
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s favorite royal admirer stole their hearts in Australia. The interaction was captured by photographers.
Grab your tissues, folks, because a royal admirer is melting our hearts all across the globe and her name is Daphne Dunne. During their royal tour in Australia, things started out on a high note for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The pair visited Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Cosgrove at the Admiralty House and received their first of many baby gifts: a kangaroo stuffed animal and a tiny pair of Uggs. They then visited the Taronga Zoo, getting to see some koalas and later on witnessed a performance by the Bangarra dance company.
The highlight of their day came in the form of greeting royal admirers outside the Sydney Opera House. It was here that Prince Harry spotted his dear old friend Dunne, whom he’d met twice before in 2015 and 2017.
Harry gave Dunne a big hug and immediately engaged her in conversation, asking how she was doing. Dunne was clearly in high spirits and was excited to be reunited with her royal friend.

The Prince was very happy to see Dunne and complimented her on her shoes and new hairstyle which had a touch of pink in it this time around.
She mentioned how excited she was to hear news of Meghan’s pregnancy and Meghan herself headed over to greet her as well. Dunne treated Meghan just as sweetly, putting her hand on her face and holding one of her hands.
Daphne told Meghan that the news about her pregnancy was “marvelous” and “just what Harry needs,” according to E-News. Meghan thanked her mentioned how happy she was to finally meet her after hearing all about her from her husband.
“I think it’s wonderful, the two of you,” Dunne had said to the Duke and Duchess. The pair were thankful for Dunne waiting to see them, and Harry then mentioned to his wife that Dunne’s personality and kindness were what drew his attention to her in the first place.
Before leaving, Harry and Meghan gave her one last hug, promising that should they be reunited again, hopefully, Dunne would get to meet their little one.
During their two-week trip, Prince Harry and Meghan are expected to visit Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.
