Dancing with the Stars week 4 power rankings: The worst elimination
Middle tier
This week, the middle tier is particularly small, because it seemed like trio week was either really good or really bad for the other couples.
6. DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: 22
DeMarcus and Lindsay had one of the most recent champions in Rashad Jennings for a paso doblé, and even though Rashad accidentally injured DeMarcus’ finger in a chest bump … they had the intensity of a paso in spades (and didn’t even have open jackets; it was no shirt for both men). In a great moment for choreography, Lindsay wasn’t even on the floor for part of it, and both men looked like they knew what they were about.
“You can’t lose the artistry,” Bruno said, and that’s true: this went almost too aggressively, even for a paso. After an impressive first few showings, DeMarcus and Lindsay have had some really big slides, but he has a strong fanbase thanks to the Cowboys connection.
5. Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: 24
Scarlett Byrne became the third member of this salsa, and Keo had a killer lift for the both of them. Evanna definitely shone, though. It was a fun number, to be sure. Len called it a “polished performance,” with hip action being the biggest note from him on it despite the other judges’ disagreements on that matter.
However, there seemed to be something missing. Perhaps it was the occasional syncing issues, or how the song didn’t seem to quite fit somehow. It’s still good enough — we’re not dropping her to the bottom tier or anything like that — but it’s not a top-tier dance, even in this weird week.
