A storm is coming in the next all-new episode of Star Wars Resistance, and with it, a group of ruthless pirates who are looking to cause some serious trouble on the Colossus.
If you thought regular pirates were trouble, space pirates are twice as sketchy and doubly dangerous. We’ve seen them before in Star Wars, and they’re an untrustworthy lot who’ll do anything for money and power.
Take Hondo Ohnaka, for example, a Weequay pirate who was introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and occasionally popped up in Star Wars Rebels. We’ve grown to love him over the years, but he committed some terrible acts in the past all in the name of being a pirate.
From what we’ve seen in the extended trailer, these pirates are not playing around. They’re wearing old Imperial armor and using retrofitted equipment. We can only imagine what they have in store for the people residing on the Colossus.

As for how this involves Kazuda Xiono, according to the official synopsis, he “and BB-8 uncover information on an imminent pirate attack and must find a way to stop it.”
Kaz is still relatively new to the Colossus, so we imagine it won’t be easy for him to convince others about the impending attack. That said, the station does have a group of ace pilots ready to defend it, so he and BB-8 won’t be alone in trying to stop the pirates. We also can’t wait to see them all in action, since Torra Doza was the only ace pilot who had a presence and speaking role in the series premiere.
This episode will also feature Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma. The last time we saw her, she and Finn (John Boyega) were having an intense fight in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It’ll be great to see her in action again and see what role she plays throughout the series.
