Chris Evans would have a political use for the Infinity Gauntlet

Chris Evans has some thoughts about how he would use the Infinity Gauntlet if given the chance, and we aren’t surprised.

Yesterday, Chris Evans participated in a panel at ACE Comic Con in Chicago, and, much to the delight of his many fans, he had a lot of exciting things to say. He was asked many questions about Steve Rogers, and he gave some new insights into the character. Fans also had questions about the star himself.

Evans was asked what he would do if he was given the Infinity Gauntlet, and he revealed that he would use its powers to step into the political atmosphere here in the United States.

The Captain America actor was a little hesitant to give a direct answer in this forum, as he probably didn’t want to stir the pot.

“The things I would say might be too political for a comic book convention. I think I’ve alienated enough of my base. I think it’s pretty clear what I’d probably do,” Evans explained.

While he didn’t go into explicit detail, it’s pretty clear that he would use that gauntlet power to influence or even change current political events.

Anyone who follows Evans on Twitter knows he is not quiet when it comes to his feelings about politics. In recent years, he has been particularly vocal about his disagreements with the current administration. Overall, he has been very active, including a role in a video for March For Our Lives, asking people to get out and vote.

As Evans plays Captain America, it seems fitting that he has strong opinions about his country and that he wants America to hold up to its ideals, even if the country has been falling far short of them lately.

We are always appreciative of Evans speaking out, and we are glad that even if he really is done playing Captain America that he continues to act like him sometimes in real life. No matter what, he will always be Captain America in our hearts.
