Saturday Night Live season 44 episode 3 live stream: Watch online

Saturday Night Live is getting a familiar face to host the show this week: Seth Meyers. He’ll be joined by musical guest Paul Simon.

Homecoming season is certainly in full-swing over at Saturday Night Live because Seth Meyers is all set to host the third episode of season 44. The SNL alum is returning to the show after his leave in 2014 as the show’s head writer, and he’ll be joined by Paul Simon as the musical guest.

Needless to say, Seth Meyers hasn’t been completely in the dark in the four years since he’s left the SNL writer’s room and Weekend Update. Shortly after, he became the host of Late Night with Seth Meyers, taking the show from other SNL alum Jimmy Fallon (who got promoted to The Tonight Show.)

As it goes with most alums who return, there might be other fellow castmates from Meyers’ era who’ll make appearances as well. Most of them have already returned before, including Fallon, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Tracy Morgan, and Rachel Dratch (who was in this season’s premiere). It’d be amazing to see Meyers head back to the Weekend Update desk, but it wouldn’t be something completely new — considering his stint on Late Night is very similar to Weekend Update.

Judging by a recent promo, it shouldn’t be too hard of a transition to head back to his old TV home, especially considering he works right down the hall from SNL’s studio.

As for other sketches, the show will likely open with something political. It’s their bread and butter at this point. As all of the Brett Kavanaugh news has winded down, the writers will have to find something else to cover. Granted, there’s plenty of current events to choose from. Take Kanye West’s recent meeting with Donald Trump, for example.
