The townspeople of Halloween Town

While the main characters are often the focus of movies, in The Nightmare Before Christmas, the townspeople are also a very important part of the story. Not only because of the fact that much of what Jack does is for them, but also because they show the world what Halloween is all about.

The townspeople are all about scaring others and bringing nightmares to life, or at least that is what they are supposed to be about. But the townspeople of Halloween Town are more than just frightening, they are at the heart of what Jack does (even as he does thing for himself as well).

The townspeople are actually quite happy in many ways, even as their goal and apparent purpose is to be scary. They clearly enjoy their lives and hope to make their town leader, Jack Skellington, happy. And although Jack might have his issues, it is clear that he too wants his town to be as exciting as possible.

We never thought we would say this about a Disney movie, but these are the happiest scary characters ever. And we live for this! In fact, we would even say these are some of the best townspeople we have run across in a Disney movie (ever).
