Tonight on The Big Bang Theory, a blast from Sheldon’s past returns. But he doesn’t seem to happy about it.

Last week’s The Big Bang Theory dived a bit into relationships and their speedy developments, likely due to this being the final season. Raj’s engagement to Anu is definitely one of the most surprising, but may also offer some fun interactions between him, his fiancée and the rest of the group. Penny broke it to Leonard that she’s not into having children, and ultimately “apologizes” for that decision by renting the Batmobile for her man. Can we just apologize in general for the blows Penny is dealt on this show — not wanting to have children is a legitimate decision, no need for apologies.

That being said, it’s refreshing to know tonight’s episode may take a lighter-ish turn? This week, a Young Sheldon character makes an appearance — Tam Nguyen. Tam was Sheldon’s only friend growing up, and it’ll be more than interesting for Sheldon’s adult friends to meet him.

Apparently, though, Sheldon’s never even mentioned Tam, apparently because he was betrayed somehow by his childhood buddy. CBS’ synopsis for tonight previews Leonard digging into the matter, while the girls take Anu out for dinner to learn more about her.

"When Sheldon won’t tell anyone why he’s never mentioned Tam (Robert Wu), his childhood best friend, Leonard takes matters into his own hands. Also, Bernadette and Penny take out Raj’s fiancée, Anu (Rati Gupta), for dinner to get the skinny on her."
