Mayans MC season 1 episode 6 preview: Chaos is coming in Gato/Mis

This week’s Mayans MC episode teases some explosive confrontations, with “Gato/Mis” lasting an hour and a half to make sure we see everything.

Kurt Sutter and his writing team have slowly been turning up the heat on Mayans MC, but things are about to boil over in this week’s episode, “Gato/Mis.” Fortunately, the writing team also has a full 90 minutes to pull everything off.

After Felipe (Edward James Olmos) threatened a DEA agent last week, the two will confront each other again with the head of the Reyes family holding nothing back. Felipe may seem like an upstanding citizen and a good man, but he’s got a dark past and he’s not afraid to use that bloody history to protect his family.

Speaking of the lengths men will go to protect what’s theirs, Galindo seems to have reached his own breaking point. His men are close to capturing Adelita and the rebels, and it looks like when they do, the cartel boss won’t be showing them any mercy.

And because this is, at its heart, a show about a biker gang, we can’t forget the tension building among the Mayans ranks, because that could be a huge component of this week’s episode. Coco’s secret love child returns to cause problems for him and the crew, while Bishop begins to suspect a Judas in the ranks. Finally, Angel demands transparency from his rebel girlfriend, which might be cut off based on what Galindo’s up to.

We’re not saying this show will be all doom and gloom moving forward, but we’d be surprised if a major character death doesn’t happen in the next few episodes.
