Dancing with the Stars week 3 live stream: Watch online
It’s back to one show a week for Dancing with the Stars, which means that someone’s going home tonight. Here’s how to catch it all online.
After powering through two live shows a week for the past two weeks, the couples on Dancing with the Stars have something of a break this week, in the sense that they only have to do one dance each.
However, it is also the night where the celebrities get to commemorate their “most memorable year,” so this week will probably be an emotional trial all on its own.
Via ABC, here’s what to expect (as well as our own commentary):
Argentine Tango
"DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: “Lux Aeterna,” Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet"
This could be a comeback week for DeMarcus and Lindsay, especially since the Argentine tango requires quite a bit of power and precision — two things that he excels in. Besides, he can probably pull out some killer lifts.
Contemporary
"Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten: “How to Save a Life,” Ray Chew LiveBobby Bones and Sharna Burgess: “A Million Dreams,” from The Greatest Showman"
Could this be the week where a 10 gets broken out? Because Alexis Ren has a contemporary dance and “How to Save a Life.”
Jive
"Milo Manheim and Witney Carson: “Can You Do This,” Aloe Blacc"
For a week that usually has slower dances, a jive is an interesting choice, but after Milo and Witney’s Charleston last week, this one could really stand out.
Rumba
"Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy: “Love Someone,” Lukas GrahamTinashe and Brandon Armstrong : “2 On,” Tinashe"
See what we mean? The rumba’s not a slow dance necessarily, but its energy is more sensual than something like the jive. Regardless, expect Len Goodman to be looking for a different performance from Tinashe this week. The rumba might be just what she needs.
Samba
"Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke: “Ni Tu Ni Yo,” Jennifer Lopez featuring Gente de Zona"
Into it. Next!
Waltz
"John Schneider and Emma Slater: “Smile,” Ray Chew Live"
After his big improvement and then a big drop, here’s hoping this couple is on a more even keel this week.
Viennese Waltz
"Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: “Hedwig’s Theme,” John WilliamsJoe Amabile and Jenna Johnson: “You are the Reason,” feat. a live performance by Calum Scott and Leona LewisMary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber: “We are the Champions,” Ray Chew Live"
Doing a Viennese waltz to Queen is the coolest thing ever.
Second to it is doing a Viennese waltz to what is effectively the theme song from Harry Potter.
