Dancing with the Stars week 2 part 2 live stream: Watch online
The support of having the same style both nights is gone from Dancing with the Stars’ week 2. Devoted to Las Vegas, will the show go on?
While Dancing with the Stars‘ press release didn’t make it clear if only some would perform tonight, it seems likely that everyone will actually be on stage, if only because everyone has different styles from last night’s performance. There will be an elimination, too.
That all being said, it’s Vegas Night!
Who’s got what? Let’s break it down.
Cha Cha
"Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong: “Circus,” Britney Spears"
After last night’s Argentine tango, Tinashe now gets a Britney Spears song and no one else to compete with in the cha cha department. What choreography will she be challenged with? That’s a mystery.
Foxtrot
"Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke: “Why Don’t You Do Right?”, Peggy Lee"
I’m very into everything listed here, just on a personal level. He also has a somewhat easy transition from quickstep to foxtrot, with a chance to show that he listened to Len Goodman’s comments about his form.
Jazz
"Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson: “The Gambler,” Kenny Rogers"
After adapting to the slower foxtrot, it’s back to the more energetic dances for Joe Amabile. Will we get week 1 Joe or week 2 Joe?
Jive
"Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: “Heat Wave,” Martha Reeves & The VandellasJohn Schneider and Emma Slater: “King Creole,” Elvis Presley"
John Schneider broke out the Charleston last night, and though jive isn’t quite the same, he did show that he’s got the energy for it.
Paso Doblé
"Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy: “Storm from KÀ,” Cirque du Soleil"
The only paso of the night belongs to Nancy McKeon, and this dance might just do her good.
Quickstep
"Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess: “That Old Black Magic,” Sammy Davis Jr.Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev: “Luck Be a Lady,” live performance by Donny OsmondDeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: “Ladies Man,” live performance by Boyz II Men"
Not one, but two live performances mean that this will likely be the most theatrical of the categories, but this is still DeMarcus Ware’s category, too.
Salsa
"Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten: “Booty,” Jennifer Lopez feat. Iggy Azalea"
She’s got a category all to herself, and this is a bit more hardcore in tone compared to Swan Lake from last night. The odds aren’t necessarily in her favor, but she’s shown she can play with the high scorers.
Samba
"Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber: “Copacabana (At the Copa),” Barry Manilow"
This is a big change in dance form, but she also has a really fun song and a partner who seems to understand her strengths.
Tango
"Milo Manheim and Witney Carson: “Ashes,” Celine Dion"
This is all about containment, not the “controlled flailing” of last night’s Charleston. He’s got a challenge on his hands.
