Poldark season 4 premiere live stream: Watch online
Ross Poldark doesn’t even merit a mention in the Poldark season 4 premiere synopsis, but that won’t stop us from seeing him during the episode.
As the days finally start to crisp up, at least in parts of the United States, PBS knows that what we’re all looking for is a melodramatic show with lovely landscapes and even lovelier actors, perfect to watch while curled up under a blanket and a warm beverage in hand. We are talking, of course, about Poldark.
Season 4 has long since aired in the UK, with production on the final fifth season has already started. Americans have waited long enough. Give us all the Cornwall we can handle, Poldark. We’re ready for it.
Here’s the long synopsis from the PBS pressroom:
"The Prime Minister calls an election; Demelza feels trapped; Sam and Drake are accused of murder."
Drake and Sam Carne really never have an easy time of it, do they? Murder accusations are definitely a step up in their storylines, though. However, don’t expect them to actually die in this episode even if they’re found guilty. That’d be a bit rough to start the season off.
As for the Prime Minister, that means that Parliament will again play a major role in this season. That same page also has a longer synopsis that hints that Ross will have to go to London, presumably meaning that he’s going to actually make it to Parliament this time.
And at the end of it all is Demelza Poldark, still at Nampara, probably still with Hugh Armitage trying very hard to sleep with her and Ross being himself. I’d feel trapped too, Demelza.
