Lindsay Lohan as Maria Hill

For our final entry into this list, we couldn’t resist adding one almost casting choice that is definitely one of the oddest ones here. During her show Lindsay on OWN, Lindsay Lohan revealed to her coach A.J. that she was almost cast in The Avengers

Rumors stated that she most likely would have been cast as Maria Hill. Lohan claims she didn’t get the part because her manager didn’t push hard enough for it. Lohan added in that segment of the show that so often her roles were passed to her manager’s other clients, such as Vanessa Hudgens.

Interestingly enough, the MCU doesn’t have too many “unknowns.” We’re talking about a franchise that boasts actresses such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson. Cobie Smulders may be less of an A-lister compared to those actresses, but she still had a run on How I Met Your Mother, so an unknown she is not.

We are honestly just glad that the role went to Smulders (and we hope to see her again, hopefully back in one form, in the next Avengers film).

Some of the people on this list would have been odd choices for these roles, if you ask us. We are mostly glad we ended up with the actors we did in the MCU. But we are definitely curious what you all think of this list.

Do you want any of these actors to end up in the MCU? Do you wish any of them had been cast instead? We would also love to hear if you have any fan casts that you will always cherish in your heart that never came to be!
