Dancing with the Stars season 27 part 2 premiere live stream: Watch online
Dancing with the Stars has a Tuesday booking for none other than the first elimination as well as a second round of dancing.
Two hours for a Dancing with the Stars premiere simply won’t do. No, tonight’s episode will add another two hours for a full-on four hours of emotional moments, wild comparisons in the judges’ commentary, and probably some dancing.
Notably, all of the celebrities will actually get to dance in the same style as they did on last night’s show. Logic would dictate that the celebrities thus might improve in the second night, after getting notes from the judges and not having to remember two different styles with all the attendant requirements of each.
But that could be completely wrong. Last night’s show certainly made it clear that the season could be wide open for others to rise up. Here are the dances for tonight:
Cha cha
"DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: “I Like It (Like That),” The Blackout AllstarsMary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber: “Hot Stuff,” Donna SummerMilo Manheim and Witney Carson: “Good Feeling,” Austin French"
After last night’s showing, cha cha might just be the most competitive style on display tonight. Keep an eye on Milo Manheim, who came out and surprised by throwing himself into it and mostly acquitting himself well, but DeMarcus Ware scored a 23 in his first dance last night.
Foxtrot
"Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev: “Strong Ones,” Armin van Buuren feat. Cimo FränkelEvanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: “Rewrite the Stars,” Zac Efron & ZendayaJohn Schneider and Emma Slater: “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat “King” Cole"
No, that’s probably not A Very Potter Musical reference for having Evanna Lynch dance to a song made famous by Zac Efron. Instead, The Greatest Showman will inspire the opening number as well.
Jive
"Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten:“Shake the Room,” GamuBobby Bones and Sharna Burgess: “Gimme Some Lovin’,” The Spencer Davis GroupTinashe and Brandon Armstrong: “Yes,” Merry Clayton"
Here’s the question: Can Tinashe follow up one of the top-scoring dances of last night’s show with another standout jive, or will this be Alexis Ren’s turn to move in and surprise after a decent jive of her own? Here’s another question: What on earth will Bobby Bones do?
Quickstep
"Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson: “Check It Out,” Oh the LarcenyNancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy: “Walking on Sunshine,” Katrina & The Waves"
Perhaps Nancy McKeon’s song might be better-suited to what Carrie Ann Inaba called her “animated” nature, even though she still has the quickstep.
Salsa
"Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke: “Tu Sonrisa,” Elvis Crespo Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko: “Tres Deseos,” Gloria Estefan"
Hopefully, Juan Pablo Di Pace brings it for a second time in the salsa.
