Brie Larson had an emotional experience the first time she donned the Captain Marvel suit, and the reason why is beyond touching.
With the premiere of the first trailer for Captain Marvel, fans are excited that they finally have footage to speculate over. Brie Larson herself is also excited as she finally gets to discuss some of her feelings about taking on the role.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress spoke discussed having an emotional moment when donning the Captain Marvel suit for the first time.
Since the movie, like most Marvel films, is fairly secretive, she wasn’t able to discuss her feelings on the project until now:
"What’s crazy is that these movies are so secretive, you don’t get to share that. Now I can share it! Now we can be like, ‘Oh, my God! I was trying different pieces on. Then when I finally put it all on together I was just staring at myself in the mirror, and I did get emotional… The first time I put it on I was like, ‘I’m like a Disneyland character! This is crazy!"

Larson also goes into detail about her workout regimen as she prepared for the role. She set aside nine months to train for becoming Carol Danvers, and we love hearing about her dedication.
Brie Larson has also taken to Twitter this week to express love for her fans. Fans on Twitter started a new hashtag, #SelfiesforBrie, where they posted pictures of themselves and expressed support for Larson. Many of these posts also had fans talking about how much Captain Marvel means to them and how this character inspires them.
