Unlike her other summer smash “no tears left to cry,” Ariana Grande wasn’t gunning for an upbeat dance track with “God is a woman”. Instead, the single was a sexy, sultry female empowerment anthem. Ariana is singing about how she’ll touch her man so good, that he’ll think God is a woman, and honestly, we can all use that kind of confidence.

This song obviously wasn’t going to be one blowing up speakers all around town the way “no tears left to cry” was, but that beat no doubt made its way to many sweaty summer bashes the last couple months. This is the type of song that will make people wanna grind up on each other, and what else can you ask for in a summer song?
