Casting directors were looking for stand-ins for Avengers 4 filming. These casting calls could give clues about the movie.

Lots of news is coming out right now about the Avengers 4 reshoots that are happening in Atlanta, Georgia. From set photos of Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson that show they are sporting new looks to Mark Ruffalo saying that the reshoots might change the actual movie plot, there is a lot going on right now in the Marvel fandom. This is exciting since everyone is waiting for Avengers 4 and trying to figure out what is going to happen to their favorite characters.

It turns out that Marvel is also hiring stand-ins for the reshoots. The casting call was for scenes that filmed on Thursday, Sept. 6. While the date has passed, this information does give fans some clues into what to expect in Avengers 4.

These were the casting calls listed on the Project Casting website:

"We are looking for African American women with shaved heads, who are athletic, ages 20’s and 30’s. Height 5’5 to 5’6. This is for Project Mary Lou, shooting near Fayetteville, Georgia"

"We are looking for a 5’4, 5’5 caucasian male to work as a stand-in tomorrow on Project ‘Mary Lou’ shooting just North of Atlanta."

It’s not uncommon for Marvel to call their films by code names, so it sounds like Avengers 4 is being called “Mary Lou” in these casting calls. It also looks like they are casting for more Wakanda scenes, or at least for characters who are from Wakanda, as this sounds like casting for Dora Milaje stand-ins.

There have already been rumors that Avengers 4 reshoots would include more scenes from Wakanda, and this casting call seems to give these rumors a lot more weight. Plus, there has also been a lot of speculation among fans about how much the Guardians of the Galaxy will feature since the third movie in that trilogy has been put on hold.

As far as the call for the Caucasian male, fans have speculated that this could be a stand-in role for a pre-serum Steve Rogers. Signs do point to Captain America being featured more in this movie, and we definitely wouldn’t mind seeing some sort of flashback as long as they keep Steve alive!
