How to wrap a present

Okay, so this might seem like something anyone can do, but hear us out. Wrapping presents is an art, and being able to wrap a gift is beneficial. Taking care when giving a gift is just as important as the gift itself. It shows that you care and really put in an effort. People notice the wrapping, just as much as the gift itself.

How to change a tire

This goes for people living where you need to drive a car and have one themselves. Tow trucks are expensive and if all you have is a flat tire, save money and do the work yourself. Help is nice, but being able to change a tire means you can manage certain things on your own. As long as you have all the necessary tools, like a new (not flat) tire, a lug wrench, and a jack in the car, you are all set.

Be a good friend

By your thirties, you should know what it takes to be a good friend to other people, because you will know how you want to be treated as well. Take the time to reach out to friends, pay attention to them, and remember if you are there for them, they will be there for you. Friendships are a two-way street, and being a good friend is about being supportive and available, even when it might seem inconvenient. It also means calling (shocker) and meeting in person (oh yes) versus talking on group chats or checking out Instagram.

Being able to swim

Knowing how to swim is more than just a life skill, it is a survival skill. Being able to swim is a way to make life less scary, plus it can also be fun and healthy. Swimming may not seem like a skill you have to learn, but it can be a matter of life and death, whether your own or someone else’s.

Knowing CPR

While you may never have to use it (and really, we don’t want you to have to use this skill), it is important to know CPR. Not only is this useful in your own home, but also when it comes to being at work or in your everyday life. Being able to save someone you care about, or honestly even a stranger if the situation arises, is beyond helpful and you will never regret having this skill.
